There’s nothing wrong with most home study courses. Just about all the courses I’ve bought have come from solid marketers who know their stuff.

But here’s what happens. You download your materials. You eagerly start to work. And then you get stuck. You want to ask someone just one question…like, “Could you explain this sentence on page 32?” Or, “Do you really think these headline templates will work for a heart-centered service like mine?”

So you puzzle over the sentence. You put aside the course…and somehow you never return.

Or maybe you get started and wish you could share your triumph with someone.

“Hey, I did all the assignments! Yaay! How do they look?”

Amd now you’ve lost motivation. You want recognition and maybe some accountability, too.

When you choose a home study course, I recommend selecting those that promise some contact with the person behind the course. You need the original owner: not just a coach trained (more or less) by the course creator.

My courses do that. See http://www.HookYourClients.com, for instance.  You get 30 days of FREE email coaching, beginning the day you download the course. The idea was to let buyers complete their assignments and send them over for comments, so you get some feedback. You get built-in accountability because you have just 30 days of coaching, so you can’t wait forever.

What do you think of 30 days of email coaching? Click on “comments” below to share.
