Online business owners often face the challenge of driving more traffic to their websites. Here are 3 ways to increase traffic without investing in high-powered, high-cost SEO services.

Content. Just having massive amounts of content on your website will attract visitors. Add articles to your website, each on a separate page. Consider posting your ezine to your website too.

Blog. Create a business blog and add posts as often as you can. Your blog lets you promote your own expertise and tell prospective clients why they should hire you, not your competitor.  But don’t stop there. Integrate your blog, website and social media so they work seamlessly together to attract potential clients.

Forums. When you join a forum, you aren’t allowed to promote yourself aggressively. At least two-thirds of your posts should contain no selling but just respond to questions from fellow participants. But you can introduce your web site via a signature. Often you can make announcements of teleseminars and new products. The idea is to give readers a reason to visit your site without violating the forum’s guidelines.

I’ve developed guidelines for using these tools in my Social Marketing Course.
